Naming multiple lights in one room

Hi Guys,
What’s the best way to name your multiple Lights in one room for HA & google Home ?
For example I have the master Bedroom : 1x Main light and two separate bedside Lamps. The main light is the Sonoff T3 and the two Bedside Lamps have Sonoff Basic connected separately.
Some suggestions in the naming of these light’s so that google home does not get confused when you give an instruction on the Master bedroom lights.
Like to see what your naming of lights that does not cause confusion.

Thanks

Only have one table lamp, but names in master are:

  1. Master bedroom table lamp
  2. Master bedroom light
  3. A group called Master bedroom with both.

In living room:

  1. livingroom table lamp
  2. livingroom floor lamp
  3. livingroom up lights
  4. And at this time of year livingroom christmas lights
  5. Group with all of them in group called livingroom.

Thanks Hugh,
So you don’t have any issues when you say to Google to turn off one of the lights ?
Thanks

I’ve a similar bedroom configuration. I’ve given each light a unique name;

  1. Dresser - a lamp on the dresser
  2. Reading lamp - a floor lamp behind a chair I usually sit in to read
  3. Master hall - lights in the bedroom hallway
  4. Campfire - wall mounted lights on either side of the bed
  5. My Name - Reading light over my side of the bed
  6. My Wife’s Name - Reading light over her side of the bed
  7. Bedroom - group name for all lights

Ah well I moved to amazon echo a while back. Can’t remember if i had any issues before but don’t think so. For echo no problem with individual names nor any issue with groups. I like to use groups as aliases as well so when the wife says something like “alexa turn on the lamp or alexa turn off the bedside lamp” instead of “alexa turn on the master bedroom table lamp” is works for her.
