First time user of HA.
I bought a new RPI5 with 8GB RAM and a new 32GB SanDisk SD card.
I successfully downloaded and copied the latest HA image and powered up the RPI.
It boots up and goes straight to the CLI.
Supervisor logs indicate Home Assistant crashes about 5 seconds after “wait until Home Assistant is ready”
Core check completes successfully
Core info output looks fine
Core status returns error: Container homeassistant is not running. Same for core reboot. Same for core rebuild.
Core start returns Error: Unknown error, see supervisor
Not the first experience I was hoping for
Other that downloading a fresh image and flashing the SD again, any other ideas?
Thanks!
start here
But probably the power supply, are you using a raspberry pi supply?

Yes. Using the proper RPI power supply. The RPI remains powered and I can run commands on the HA. CLI without any issue. I just can’t get the core to start.
maybe try installing HA on and booting from USB or NVMe?
Have you tried a different SD card already?
Define “crash”.
Log literally has a line in red bold text saying that the core has crashed
How would I know? You didn’t post your logs.
