If we’re all having the same problem, it’s probably a server side issue.

Since I got the 1106 error also, I restored my backup (core 2021.10.6) where I was running the Tuya V2 beta which was working fine this morning. That now also gives this error. Not sure what is going on now. Maybe the issue is with Tuya?

No use to revert a backup. The error is on Tuya’s side.

Can you link the github issue / PR where you got this screencap from?

Frenck also confirmed in a different github issue it is an upstream tuya problem and they are working on it.

### The problem
I updated to HA Core 2021.10.6, removed the old Tuya integratio… n, and tried to add the new one, but I'm getting a "permission deny" error. I followed the instructions very carefully:
1. Created Tuya IOT Platform account.
2. Created a new Cloud Project in the US West data center.
3. Authorized the Device Status Notification API, along with the other default ones.
4. Linked my Tuya app account, scanned the QR code, confirmed.
5. Confirmed that my device (dimmer light) shows up in the Devices list, and its status is "Online".
6. Added the Tuya integration, configuration dialog comes up.
7. Chose United States from the country list.
8. Copy-pasted the Access ID and Access Secret into the Tuya integration fields.
9. Enter my Tuya App (not IOT Platform) username (email address) and password in the fields.
When I click "Submit", red text "Login error (1106): permission deny" appears.
I verified that my account and password were correct by signing out of the Tuya app and then signing back in with the same username + password
Nothing at all is shown in the HA log.

Same error but with a twist - it has worked for almost a full day after the 2021.11 update - it’s not the update that broke the Tuya integration. From what I’ve read, it’s on Tuya’s end and just a coincidence with 2021.11 launch. Nothing we can do to fix.
I restarted HA and now its working again. I guess Tuya have fixed something on their end.

A restart hasn’t fixed it for me yet. Hopefully it is a good sign that it is now working for you.

It looks like there might be a new core integration. Does that mean I should remove the HACS version and install the it through integration page? Or just be patient and keep restarting?

What worked for me was to simply change my password in the smartlife app.

Repair. removing integration → password change in Smart Life application → restart HA → adding integration

Removed Tuya integration and changed the Tuya password on my iPhone.
I re-installed integration and works now after getting the same error message “Login error 1106”
And added a Gas detector that I got cheap at Amazon.
