Here is my situation. Firstly, I had same problem. There were no devices listed in the tab. Then I found out that I may have mistaken my password with Tuya APP and IOT platform cloud page usr accounts. I changed my configuration and everything shows up. I use the stable version of tuya integration. You may try using your Tuya APP user password and account. If you use the user account and password blew, the integration may not work properly and may not tell you why.
I updated to the supported Tuya integration and I have no dimmers. I can see switches. In Tuya I see all the devices including the dimmers, but they don’t come into home assistant.
I am in Poland and i was using Tuyav2 with no issues with IOT central europe.
I am trying to install Tuya app instead.
I am removing Tuyav2
restarting
installing tuya
Connecting with the codes with no issues
except it does not pulls any devices.
I have tuya installed on the home assistant but it didn’t create any folders and I can’t change the temperature, which is wrong, but does anyone else have this problem?
Hi, Did you find the reason? Have you solution for your mentioned issue? I have exactly the same as you had. Please send some comments. Thx.
I see one point:
When I used Tuya App then I have the same like you had- no devices inside integration.
When I used IoT Device Management App on my Android phone then HA could see the device but control is limited only for “switching on” my FloodLight
Had the same problem of no devices being found and got it working!
I checked/ changed the following:
Made sure I have ALL the services authorised that are listed in the image. Not just the one that had the red circle around it. (That was during the project creation process in tuya iot platform)
Confirmed my account being set to an individual in the tuya iot platform
I then deleted all tuya integrations in home assitant. Rebooted. Created a new project in tuya project making sure that I get it right this time. Then integrated the new project in HA and voila the devices came through instantly.
For me the data centre region only worked for one at integration time. So switching after didn’t make sense to me.
After having the same issues, tried almost every combination of configurations, i think i have found the culprit.
Google Login in Smart Life App.
I have noticed that after logoff, i do not have a password setup for my account, just the OAuth.
Using the same email of the OAuth i made the process of “forgot my password” for the Smart Life, setup the same password that i am using in Tuya Developer and BANG, all devices listed and working properly.
I hope that help someone!
Thanks Bcas Bruno Cas!
The problem was the same password while using the same account name for IoTtuyaDev and Tuya Smart Life on Android.
The solution is to change password for SmartLife account on android!
Then remove integration from HA and add it again using new password.
Gosh, this is really frustrating. I don’t get either the Local Tuya integration or the official Tuya integration to work. But it starts on the IoT Tuya platform… I’ve scanned the QR code in the Tuya Smart app to link Tuya App account. But no app shows up in the list. And if I go to All Devices and select Tuya App Account and then something starting with gg- no devices show.
I’ve set the region to Western Europe and country to Sweden in the app.
Obviously there’s something with the link between the Tuya app (where my devices show up) and the IoT Tuya cloud platform. What could I be doing wrong?
I tried adding another project and scanned the QR code to link the Tuya app account again, still nothing.
And if I try to scan the app again I get the message “The number of projects linked with this Tuya Smart App accont has reached the upper limit of 2. Unlink the account from existing projects and try again”. But since I don’t see the account I can’t unlink it…
If I still try to configure the Tuya integration on Home Assistant I get "Login error (2406): skill id invalid"
Yesterday i ask for IOT Core renewal free for 6 month, i ask gently and say that i dont want to paid 5000$ a year for 2 device and they accepted! i am now good to april 2023 but still no luck it doesnt show the 2 devices in HA…
i dont use smart life, i use tuya smart, so the trick with the password doesnt work, i have try with no luck.
maybe without the core Subskription no devices will show. I tried to apply for another free 6 months. The package cost is $5000 per year which is a joke
ok to not waste any more hours I just created a new account on tuya iot plattform, it worked instantly. I believe some paid service needed renewel. I just used [email protected] so I can create endless accounts
My solution:
1: Delete account Tuya or Smart Life (It notify wait for 7 days to delete finish). Do not login within 7 days count down.
2: After 7 days, sigup new account (witch same email). Notice: do not register new account via gmail.
3: Link and setup with IOT tuya dev account as guide.
That’s worked for me.
You can test by sigup new account in tuya app with new email.
(Sorry for my English, that’s not my mother language)
Goodluck!
A month ago (2022-11-22), I was very excited to breath new life into some old wifi sockets (knightsbridge, efamily) by integrating them into HA through Smart Life (SL) android app, and the Tuya IOT cloud, where they have worked seamlessly in automations. Until yesterday, when I got an SL app upgrade through the play store and this seemed to have broken the integration somewhere. I could see the devices online on SL and IOT but they disappeared from HA. I deleted and reinstalled the Tuya integration but still not there.
So after a bit of googling I decided that maybe there might be some sort of month trial going on – although there is no obvious indication of this in the IOT platform. This Github link seemed to have a current solution. It suggests unlinking and relinking the SL account and relinking first. I did this and - on scanning the QR code offered by IOT – I got a pop-up saying: “You are trying to link the “智能生活” App Account and subordinate devices with this project. Please select the device linking method and device permission to continue”. 智能生活 translates as “Smart Life”. So I decided it was safe even though its not my account name, accepted it and clicked through as per the link. Relinking didn’t work though, so I followed the github instructions fully and now I am waiting for my “contract extension” to be approved for another six months. Meanwhile, I guess I will have to accelerate replacing the trusty wifi plugs with zigbee.
