No more devices in fritz!box integration since last HA update

Hi all,
since last update to Home Assistant 2021.8.1 my Fritz!Box integration is not able to track the devices of the local network: TV,AVR,smartphones… everything is not connected. I have restarted the Fritz!Box, Home Assistant and re-integrated the Fritz!Box Tools integration. Nothing helps. There is no configuration related to the fritzbox in the configuration.yaml. Does anybody of you have an idea?
Thanks and greetings

Also the switch entity for the lan and wlan is not accessable. It’s confusing me

Check and see if you’ve got a whole new set of disabled tracked entities, with ID’s the same as your existing broken ones but with a _2 suffix at the end.

If so, remove your original tracked entities and then enable those new ones and rename them to remove the _2 so their name is the same as the original ones.

I had this when I updated, as did at least one other user here (see here) and it may be your issue too?

Yeah, for me it was the same when upgrading from 2021.7 to 2021.8, all device trackers from fritz box integration seemed not to be tracked any longer, but new disabled device trackers with _2 have been detected, so I went through the pain of removing the old ones one by one and enabling/renaming the new ones…

great, thanks!

one more question:

the entities for uptime and the 5ghz wlan are no more available. There is no second entity. Do you have a soution for this issue?

I have both on mine, but I think the naming changed a little for the uptime.

Mine is sensor.fritz_box_7590_device_uptime and sensor.fritz_box_7590_connection_uptime (depending which uptime you mean) and both are there and work. I think there wasn’t device and connection in there before.

For 5GHz, is it the same SSID as your 2.4GHz wlan? I think I saw somewhere that there was a current bug with that if they share a SSID. On mine they have separate SSID’s and both show up fine with switch.fritz_box_7590_wi_fi_ plus the SSID at the end.

Of course in all cases, depending on your FB model you may need to substitute 7590 with a different model ID.

I have Fritz!Box 7530

Your comment regarding the uptime is interesting. My integration just named it to “uptime”.

The configuration was done for both, 2,4 and 5ghz wlan. It was working → HA is showing two seperate wlan entities as you can see in the picture.

I think the uptime only one is the previous version, and it’s been split into two now (the two I mentioned). If you see to the right of your one, it’s a restored sensor rather than a currently active one.

Try going to the entities list and typing “uptime” into the search box at the top and see what turns up (remembering to clear any hidden entities first, just in case).

For the 5GHz, I’m not sure there. I presume it is switched on at the moment (to ask the basic question). Maybe try disabling and reenabling it on the FB and see if HA picks it up then? That’s all I can think of to suggest.

On mine I get both and did straight away out of the box.

Omg, I misinterpreted the red icon. Thank you for the short instruction. I removed the old “uptime” entity.

Regarding the wlan configuration. I will check the option for difference naming of the networks
