Node-Red timerswitch

Hello

My version of Node-Red doesn’t seem to have “timerswitch” installed. I opened a terminal session within HA and inputted the command " npm install node-red-contrib-timerswitch" however this returns an error “bash: npm: command not found”.

Is “timerswitch” referred to as something else within V3.0.2 or how do I go about installing it?

Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.

I usually add nodes using the Editor in the Palette Manager:

https://nodered.org/docs/user-guide/runtime/adding-nodes

or add it to the configuration in the NR add-on:

Thanks for the advice. I managed to get “timerswitch” added via the Manage Palette feature in Node Red. I now use this flow to control a bathroom light and make it go off several times between 19:00 and 23:34 for 1, 2 or 10 minutes. It’s not a random setting as it goes off / on for a fixed amount of time, at the exact same time, every night. To the passer by, they wouldn’t notice a difference unless they were in front of the house at the same time every night.

Glad it worked. Please mark the post as “solved.”

Hi MaxK. Unfortunately I don’t seem to have the ability to mark the posts as “solved”. I’m looking for a check mark that I believe is suppose to be next to the “heart” on your last post and it isn’t there.

Seems that it may not be enabled on some forums.

Okay thanks.
