How would you fancy doing a test for me to see if we can get to the bottom of this
If I supplied you with my email address and a temporary password to my mi home
would you log in and see if you still have the about and can see my token (and note it while you are there)
There is nothing on my xiaomi hub apart from a temp sensor

what version of the mi home app, iphone and what server are you connected to
there seems to be quite a few people who cannot get this token and I would like to get to the bottom of it all
I have tried emailing xiaomi and triedzall versionsbof tbe app on android and have tried the current version on apple
Still no luck
No offer of anyone coming back to me to see if they want to try to log into my own hub and see if they can pick the key up for me or let me know what software versions tgey are running

First Set region mainland china. Go to items list and select gateway. (my gateway xiaomi v3)
click three dots menu and click about. If you see only two option repeatedly tab under these option below empty area. And Ta da! Secret Chinese menu must be opening. Select third option and voila. There is a developer key. 16 characters
I am prepared to give someone my login details to see if they can retrieve the token
That will help me see if it’s a localised problem or something else
I live in th EU and just purchaced the EU Mi Smart Sensor Set (Gateway+ 2 motion sensor + 2 open sensor + 1 button) with Mi Control Hub version DGNWG05SLM, probably a v2.
The default region was Europe for my Mi Home app, that worked well with my S50 Vacuum. When trying to setup the Gateway to work with HA I tried to get the key from the app but under European region there is no “About” option. When switching to Mainland China the connection is unbearably slow. So much so that it usually times out, and I cant even connect the app to the Gateway.
I tried with both Android and iOS. Under Europe, no About, under Mainland China, I time out.
Is there any other way to get the key? Like with the iOS backup trick when connecting the Roborock, or something similar? Without HA the whole purchase is kinda pointless…
So finally the Gateway arrived in Europe, I cant believe it. For your problem you could try a trick described in the yeelight forum:
People got the chinese Gateway working @ Singapure Server with it. Might be worth a try. Otherwise youll have to wait for an update, that might never come…
@paullayton There is no solution and just the Aqara folks are able to help. Only thing you can do is complain at their forum and hope…
So basically if I cant resolve this, I screwed myself with purchasing EU products, and should have just keep buying Chinese versions from aliexpress or gearbest. This is soo dumb, I hate when companies do this
