Notification: Login Attempt Failed from Supervisor

This notification appears every once in a while, and I have no idea what is causing it. The notification says:

Login attempt or request with invalid authentication from supervisor (172.30.32.2). See the log for details.

The HA log is equally cryptic:

WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.http.ban] Login attempt or request with invalid authentication from supervisor (172.30.32.2). (HomeAssistantSupervisor/2021.12.2 aiohttp/3.8.1 Python/3.9)

Any ideas?

I’ve seen the same thing twice in the last 2 weeks. Once on build .12.1 and again on 12.4 I believe. Doesn’t seem to effect my system.

Based on the IP address in the message, I’d say it’s from the Machine you logged in with, your accessing HA with. I’ve also noticed that message. No idea why!

Does the IP address of your client pc match that shown in the message?

Not in my case.

No. My understanding is that an IP beginning with 172 would mean that the request is coming from the HA host system itself.
