For some situations it might be valuable to receive calls with spoken information about what happened within Home Assistant. For example an alarm-system that informs about which window / door has been opened while not at home.
Of course this can be done via Text. But at least I tend to ignore texts for a while, wheras calls receive my full attention.

I have tested SIP communication and until now I succeed to use SIP message from HA.
I have installed on the same RPi the Linphone software, it works with GUI and also with command line, so I use command line from HA to send SIP messages.
This Linphone can use also TTS from the command line, but it is based on eSpeak, not the current TTS included in HA.
It will be nice and usefull to be a SIP client integrated here in HA…
I think that SIP + TTS notifications would be a superb idea. I’ll happily test this if someone starts developing a component.
