Odroid N2 installation image not working - Gives 'serverip' not set error eventhough it gets an IP

When installing for first time on an odroid n2+ using an SD CARD, the system tries to boot and gets an IP address you can see in the console but then it errors out with "serverip not set’ error and it does not continue with the install. See attached image.

The same process works with MMC module! only SD Card install fails.

Got image from https://github.com/home-assistant/operating-system/releases/download/7.6/haos_odroid-n2-7.6.img.xz per instructions.

Steps I used:

  1. download Odroid home assistance image file from https://github.com/home-assistant/operating-system/releases/download/7.6/haos_odroid-n2-7.6.img.xz
  2. flash in SD card
  3. insert the SD Card in Odroid n2+
  4. attach network cable on n2+ and power on
  5. system boots, even gets IP address, but then errors with serverip not set error

Any ideas on how i can get it working with SD Card?

No idea how to fix this but I had the same happen to me.
My setup (Odroid n2+, SD-card for boot, ssd for data) was running stable for 2+ years.
Did not install updates until 2 months ago and ‘caught up’ with the newest os + core. Was stable for 2 months but this week it randomly crashed and would not boot at all. Tried multiple and new 32/64GB micro SD’s with new install of HA, but all failed.
Because of your topic and mention of eMMC I purchased a eMMC and it worked perfectly.
Maybe it’s a hardware problem in the SD slot.

(my data on the ssd was also corrupt. I was able to recover is following these instructions: Waiting for home assistant cli to be ready - #7 by Reaver1988 )
