If you have more than 20 or so automations you need some way of organising them in the UI.

Folders can be a simple option, i.e ‘Lights’, ‘Notifications’, ‘Alarms’ etc.

A better solution would be to use tags/chips. So you can filter on ‘lights’ AND ‘notifications’ for example

In addition, some tags can be generated automatically from either the metadata or devices/entities used in the automation. For example if a kitchen light is in the automation then create a tag called kitchen which can be filtered on.

Search automations also searches for keyword in the automation yaml or device/trigger name.
