Is it possible to integrate the original Nest Thermostat into Home Assistant? When I see original I mean when Nest was a standalone company and before Google brought it back into the fold. Thanks.
Nope. If you have encryption keys from the old Works with Nest developers program you can still use it. But that program has been shutdown years ago so you can’t generate new keys.
Just wanted to ask, but nothing wrong with existing Nest Thermostat and I can still control it from iPhone. Plus google has became too damn nosy. Maybe when this one dies, but certainly not before. thanks for replying.
You might have a look at a project around here called Bad Nest. As I recall it uses the Nest web API to retrieve data through your Nest website account and pumps that into HA sensors.
