Good day everyone and a litte winky winky to the Home Assistant Foundation!
Since the fitness and health market is growing and people are giving more and more money for a “better lifestyle” I think it’s time to enable the native iOS Home Assistant App to access the Apple Healt data! Especially for thos who subscribe to Nabu Casa this would be a very nice add on that offers an extra value.
Why I am asking: as a diabetic, it is not just for fun. It is extremely useful to have a gauge in my dashboard on my desk that tells me - and my wife at home on the big screen - if I am fine or if I need my meds. Same goes pretty much for all kind of health data. Did I walk enough? Is my hear rate fine? Did I sleep enough? All that.
At the moment I access that data by subscribing to a so called “Health Assistant” third party developer app. I don’t know who that is and if he’s willing to invest time and resources into it in the future. I wonder why someone can do this and the Home Assistant Foundation can’t or doesn’t want it. Am I alone with that wish?
As stated before - I am a Nabu Casa subscriber, I love the simplicity it offers for remote acces - just put a little more love into the iOS App and make it “Health connected”. I think that would bring a couple of more people to the service.
Thanks for reading, sharing, liking, supporting the idea.
