That is good advise, I tried to simply add it as a custom respository, however I will not let me:

Just as a check, the error indicates it thinks the resource is for an Integration when I would expect it to be for a Lovelace Card. When you fill in the HACS data for custom repository, there should be something like a Category pull down where you can select Lovelace. So just wanted to confirm.

Yes, I tried both integration and lovlace card, both throw the same error.

Looking at the HACS documentation 
 it looks like HACS only wants to work directly under the root repository and not off of a branch directory under the root repository; So yeah, that’s probably why it throws the error.

Hi All
 Ive enjoyed this card for a while, but now, it seems to have broken on my Android and IPad devices. Android is on 8 and Ipad is on IOS15. Seems like something broke with the latest HA update as the Card or Weather I use has not been updated (tried multiple weather add-ons with the same result).

When I say broken, it does not show on the desktops anymore (works fine under Windows browsers).

Looking at the weblogs, it is showing this error:

[ERROR] Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read property 'actionHandler' of undefined -- on line 73 of http://<my-ip>:8123/hacsfiles/platinum-weather-card/platinum-weather-card-df6d26e2.js

Interested if others are seeing this

Edit - should add I have tried the dashboard in the browsers of the devices, the home assistant companion of the devices and Fully Kiosk all with the same result. I also have different dashboards with the card and they all dont work on the devices

Have you updated HACS to 2.0 recently? Pretty sure I saw files are no longer served from /hacsfiles with 2.0, which your error message shows.

Edit: Sorry, that may not be it. Checked the release notes: * The /hacsfiles/ endpoint no longer works for Themes.

 I did see that about HACS 2 but did not update.

It’s only IOS and Andriod Im having the issue with. On a PC, it displays fine. I did see a similar issue back in this thread (about 1 year ago), but I tried the “fixes” and they didnt work. I have removed (turned off) all sections, readded the card, etc with only current temp and still it does not show on those devices


I will perserver with this for a little, but without any developement (including every fork) then looks like I will being removing this card for something else.

I could go through the code myself, but just havent the time at the moment.

I received a message from @tom_l saying the 2024.8 beta version of the companion app fixed the issue. That said, the error message was different.

There is/was an issue in the front-end with iPAD that affected the HA Companion App not rendering several custom cards including this one. The iPhone Companion App worked fine and various Desktop browsers worked fine too. Someone mentioned it quit working on “some Android devices”. Upgrading iPAD HA Companion App to 2024.8 should fix the problem for iPADs using HA Companion App.

Thanks @pocket and @wmaker - Starting to make sense. However, interesting though, the Android tablet I use Fully Kiosk and I have tried Wallpanel as well with the same issues

Ok, my Companion App on the Ipad is 2024.7. I have since found the references to Companian App on Ipad you mentioned, but it seems it still has issues in 2024.8.1.

After a bit of research from the link provided, it might have something to do with the user agent HA now implements for matching modern browsers but broke something for legacy versions. I’m no help but just to report, PWC will not display on all my Amazon Fire HD tabs whether using the HA Companion or Fully Kiosk. Latest releases on everything.

Hi same error on my Samsung smart fridge. Works fine on all companion apps and web but the Android native browser that the fridge uses doesn’t load this one card.
Everything else works fine.

Any news to this? Same problem here with an older fire hd tablet.
