Pool Pump and Heat Controller

I’ve created blueprint to control your pool pump with a heater installed. It is able to control running the pump based on the pool temperature. When pool temperature is too low and the heater needs to turned on it will start the pool pump and stops the pump when the desired temperature is reached.

It is also able to assure a minimal amount of run hours each day.

Additional blocking entities can be configured for fined grain control werther the pump/heater must not start or stop. For instance you can create a times of the day sensor that blocks starting the pump during night time.

hi mark, this automation is great.

i have a small request, is it possible to add functionality for an salt system?
this system needs to run together with the pool pump for an x amount of hours (its own setting). and it would be great to be able to have an manual override if a boost is needed. actually this system is seperate from the heating but it uses the same pump.

would be great if you could add this. my knowledge of the code is not good enough to do it myself.

wauw, that would be great.

i also noticed that the heatpump can only be of type climate. i control my heatpump with a simple contact. the pump itself is not connected to the wifi. is there a workaround for this?

for now i made my own simple automation wich starts the pool when enough solar power, and stops is when the not enough (but only if the run time is met). this is made with the standard automation options and is kinda working but can be improved.

Hello, the optional fields (turn on block, heater block and turn off block) is empty, there is no where I can select my entities.
Am I doing something wrong or is it A bug?

It has been a while, but I’ve finally created a version that includes controlling the salt water system too. It was quite a complicated task to get this to work as I wanted, but this new version should do what it is intended to do.
