Power usage during certain periods of the day

I was hoping to get some help on this one, maybe even just to be pointed in the right direction.

My power company offers free power for 3 hours of the day between 9pm and 12am. I was hoping to create a value of the combined power consumption entities of several devices outside of those three hours. This way I could calculate the power consumed that could have been done for free such as running the dishwasher after 9pm if possible.

How would I go about this, I have seen the template integration referenced for a similar purpose but Iā€™m just struggling getting my head around it. Maybe somebody has done this before but I cannot seem to find my specific use case online.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use energy sensors, not power. Use the Utility Meter tariff feature to measure how much energy you used during any period you want, see: How to use Utility Meter Tariffs to conditionally measure things

And yes you would need to sum the individual sensors with a template.
