Problem with multiple Xiaomi Aqara Gateways

Hello everyone!

It has being 10 days now with constant reading and frustration about my setup, I hope someone could help me out here, please!

I have both my house and office connected on the same network (same block). Here is my setup:

1. Xiaomi Mi Router 3 Office - Internet and DHCP, were one of my Aqara gateways is connected
2. TP-Link CPE510 Office - Access point, wired to the office router

“Wireless range extender”

3. TP-Link CPE510 Home - Client, at home, wired to the next router
4. Xiaomi Mi Router 3 Home - Access point, no DHCP, second Aqara gateway

The problem is that, at home only, my gateway keeps loosing packets when pinging and behaves unstable with HA (Hassio). This only happens when my Pi3B running Hassio is loaded and running, if not, all packets are returned successfully when pinging, very odd right? The moment I boot my Hassio, I think when the component is loaded, it start loosing packets. This doesn’t happens when I disable the Aqara component.

No packets are lost when pinging the office router from my home, the office aqara gateway, my local router and another wireless device at home (broadlink mini) does not skip a packet. I don’t believe that’s a cable problem with my LAN. All cables are new since I’ve moved 6 months ago.

Another problem is that most of my commands using wireless switches and automations depending on motion sensors, for example, takes a long time to respond. Also these errors shows up when one of my wireless switches are pressed:

Does it has something to do with the last update regarding the UDP changes? I have no idea… I’ve even tried to roll back to version 61.1 with no luck. It is not working the latest 63 version as well.

Xiaomi Gateway Errors , but seems to be working fine

Hello @SteelRat and @Hefford27! How are you today? Sorry to bother: would you mind taking a look at my post here about a similar problem I am facing with the Aqara component as well? Problem with multiple Xiaomi Aqara Gateways I am about to go crazy about this hehe Thanks a lot!

I have the same issues “… is taking over 10 seconds” for xiaomi gateway devices but not so often. I have Xiaomi Mini Wifi and single aqara gateway at home. I can repeat this issue by starting to download something that takes a full bandwidth of the network. At this time not only HA loses UDP packets, but I also get timeouts when connecting to router’s web interface. I thought it’s a router’s problem, so I changed it (something with similar hardware), but it didn’t help.
Generally, I think it’s related to some shit happens in the local network. So you need to debug it. You need to monitor all UDP traffic to understand where are your packets go.

The part related to using UDP in xiaomi_aqara HA component will be rewritten, because it has poor design. But I don’t think it will solve problems like mine and yours.

I’ve ordered a couple of the new TP-Link archer 3150 to make my LAN mor stable and reliable. If it doesn’t solve my problems, at least I will have a good WiFi network to work with all wireless connected devices. Let’s hope that the new update will fix some of my problems today.

Hello @aidbish. The problem was solved just before I’ve installed the routers. I believe it was a problem with the component and also IGPM settings on my CPE devices.

Xiaomi HUB packet loss

Dear Team, My Xiaomi HUB was working very good but recently it has packet loss during 1 hour a couple of times per day. See the picture below: [image] I have changed the wifi router but same behaviour. I am pinging the Xiaomi HUB and when it stops answering to ping, other wifidevices are working fine, so I am sure it is the HUB. I have tried to modify the wifi setting limiting it to the most basic protocols 54Mbps, but always the same. Did someone have the same problem? Any ideas? Thank y…
