PS5-MQTT: Control PlayStation 5 devices using MQTT

This is wrong. No additional entities will be created. The activity entity will now either show one or multiple comma separated names in the players attribute.

Hello @FunkeyFlo, thx, understood. This means that eg if I want to track and show those playing times separated in two charts I’d need to create two template sensors for each player, right?

Hello @FunkeyFlo , I looked into the attributes of the sensor but only when the first play plays, everything looks good and like this:

But when the second player logs in only this is shown:

I’ve re-generated the npsso key in different browser (user1. chrome, user2: edge) because I think I read above something like this is necessary, but it didn’t help.

Any Ideas what i am doing wrong?

hi i copied your mushroom card but i got

At path: card_mod – Expected a value of type never, but received: [object Object]

do you know what error is this, im not good with cards

Hi group, any help here would be amazing. I’ve install this add on bu can’t seem to get the activity to work. It alwas shows Idle. I can turn the PS5 off in HA but that’s it. I’ve looked at my privacy settings and selected ‘Everyone’ can see my activity.

I set up as I thought the documentation said but can’t get the activity to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have a small problem when discovering the ps5 on the initial set up. I can only find my ps5 when the ps5 is in standby mode. To authenticate I need to turn the ps5 on, but when turning on the ps5 and then refreshing I can no longer discover the ps5. Any ideas on how to discover the PS5 when its on? Thanks

Bumping this since we are running out of time to get this addressed. Feb 2024 update will be out within days.

Hi all,

I’m trying something a bit different here, basically all I need is a timer to check how many hours the PS5 was online. As you can see in the screenshots I’m almost there but can’t figure out why the return value stays on 0 hours. What am I missing here? Anyone got an idea?

Furthermore, I got my npsso but just can’t seem to find where this needs to be copied to.

Screenshots attached.

Version 1.3.3 was just released which contained the required fix.

Ever since updating to version 1.3.3, the addon no longer starts.
HA version 2024.2

[09:17:28] ERROR: Got unexpected response from the API: Service not enabled Starting PS5-MQTT... node:internal/process/promises:279 triggerUncaughtException(err, true /* fromPromise */); ^ Error: getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND null at GetAddrInfoReqWrap.onlookup [as oncomplete] (node:dns:109:26) { errno: -3008, code: 'ENOTFOUND', syscall: 'getaddrinfo', hostname: 'null' }

Issue seems to be with automatic MQTT config on HA (supervisor) side. Check the Discord for a (temporary) fix.

I’m getting this in the page: https://ca.account.sony.com/api/v1/ssocookie

what is the link to discord?. I’m having the same problem.

I added the configuration for mqtt and restarted the addon. That fixed it.

The solution proposed by @VietNgoc has worked for me too.

In regards to the error message from https://ca.account.sony.com/api/v1/ssocookie , it is a Sony problem, it does not appear to be in scope of this addon. It will most likely fix itself after a while.

Thanks! I really appreciate it.

I apologize in advance and do not mean to offend.
But how do I know that my account information is secure and that you are not collect/saving them?

The code is open source, so you can see everything the application does. If this is not enough for you I suggest not using open source software at all.

You are right, thank you.

This was my problem! Could not figure out why it was not working, until I realised I had status set to Appear Offline.
