It should be fixed in the upcoming 2024.9.2 release
I went back to a recent HA backup where the August integration was still working and got the offline keys from the debug logs and restored back to the latest backup I made just before going back.
I still cannot log in the Yale integration⌠anyone who succeeded? And have tips and tricks ?
What is your exact problem? What region are you in? What type of lock? What app are you using? How do you connect to the lock?
OK, I see your comment above, so I assume, as Yale Linus, you must be from Europe, so the Yale Home integration which you should use. I assume also you are using the Yale Connect Wifi bridge with the Linus as well and not just with your phone.
So, first of all select the Yale Home integration, click on that.
Then answer OK
It opens the Yale Home wizard which brings you to the oauth aaecosystem website.
Where you need to log-in with your Yale Home account and follow the on screen instructions. And accept that Home Assistant will have access to your Yale Home account, or whatever it asks.
(As a rule of thumb I always use the NabuCasa link to access HA when I am setting up cloud integrations which requires callback, as sometimes it tries to do callback to local IP address, which will not work.)
Will the new Yale integration pull the key for the Yale access Bluetooth integration? Like the current August one does. This is critical for those of us who use Bluetooth via an adapter or esp32 proxy etc.
Thanks.
FYI
Thank you for your answer! I tried this, but instead of seeing the Yale Inlog screen, I get the black page with the text as I described above. Maybe I should empty the cache. Hope this will work.
Are you getting the same on a phone as well? Do you have PiHole or any similar adblocking solution? (Are you using NabuCasa to access HA?)
I paused Adblock , but unfortunately didnât change the process. Still get this website.
I did it on my iPhone in the app and also via safari. No difference. Not using nabu casa cloud.
Are you using any remote access solution, which can be used for webhooks and call backs?
I donât think so. Last 3 years I happily used the august integration. Donât understand why I canât get the same via the Yale integration.
As an addition, in the line of the black webpage, I see my phone number, which I didnât use as input in setting up the integration.
The address which is opened by Home Assistant does not contain any phone number, neither email address or anything similar.
Do you have any other Yale integration set up? Maybe have you ignored the Yale integration before?
I can just guess what can be wrong, but without knowing how is your Home Assistant setup, it is quite hard, and showing just a black screen with a 404 error is not really helpful. The integration setup should redirect you to a login page where you should log-in with your email and password. It should not include in the link your phone number. After logging in it will ask you that will you allow Home Assistant to access your Yale Account. Then you say yes and everything is set up, directed back to the app and thatâs it.
I use it with NabuCasa and no issues there.
I found the issue âŚ. I probably used the wrong log in credentials the first time. Home assistant seems to remember these. So every time the integration opened the website of Yale (aaexosystem⌠etceteraâŚ) it automatically used the wrong credentials.
In the integration menu, there are 3 dots next to âhelperâ, here were the credentials for log in. I deleted them and now it worked very smooth
Thank you for your help.
No fixes for keys not being grabbed for yale ble?
All the GitHub issues for problems with âYaleâ products seem to lead to this thread now. Iâm in North America, and afaik I shouldnât be impacted by this migration, and still use August integration for Assure Lock 2. However, these issues are happening to me:
Is there any investigation or news going on for August integration?
Thank you!
The old API will stop working permanently on December 16th, 2024. Please be sure to migrate before that time if you have not already done so.
I canât seem to add the Yale Home integration to my HA. It brings me to the website but I cannot login. It says Invalid user/pass. If I try to do Forgot password, it tells me my phone # is not registered. I can login to my Yale account on the app just fine. Am I missing something?
Which country are you in and which app exactly you are referring to?
The Yale Home app requires an email and phone number. You should have both working and registered to have an account.
Hey there,
I am located in the US and have the Yale Access app, my profile shows my email address and phone #.
