I stumbled over this HA extension, and I like the idea.
Some of you may know my old PV Solar Excess Optimizer blueprint - a pyscript + blueprint combo that automatically switches your appliances on and off based on excess solar power.
New to all this I have to admit it may be a bit too advanced. My appliances are not smart, and they also need human action to get loaded and unloaded. What I am striving for is some indicator to tell whether it is a good idea to run it now. Just an indicator, no automatic switching.
I was naive enough to configure the automation, just to receive calls from a worried wife that the main appliances seem to have no power any more.
Is there a way to smoothly introduce the extension? First just some indicators and explanations. Later, when understanding and faith have grown more automation and with smart appliances take it to the extreme: human loads the appliance, marks it reacy and HA decides when to run it and send a message for the human to unload?
