Rachio Smart Hose Timer aka Valve Support

Could we get Rachio Valve support added to the core rachio integration? It’s a new-ish seemingly popular automatic lawn watering valve. It is not supported by the current Rachio integration.

The Rachio Hoass integration does not seem to support the new Valve product.

I’ve got the rachio integration running, and Hoass is logged into my Rachio account with the correct user/pass combo.

I get this error:
No Rachio devices found in account [email protected]

What is Rachio Valve? Are you talking about the hose timer?

Hi , @rqbanerjee suggest renaming “Rachio Smart Hose Timer Support”. I have the same issue. Also as suggested by @WallyR please remember to vote for your own suggestion.

I tried to take a look at it but couldn’t find where Rachio devices are defined in the main repo. If someone could point me in the right direction I would be happy to open a PR with the new device.

The smart hose timer doesn’t have API support according to the Rachio forums, so unfortunately there’s nothing that can be done in HA until that happens.

Thanks @brg468 I just came back here to say the same thing! After testing the API I realized the device is not exposed.

Just bought two Rachio Smart Valves last week.
Pretty nice devices.
If they ever give api access with Home Assistant I will be buying 3 or 4 more!

Please add an api Rachio.

yes , the hose timer.

Still no API support for the valve (hose timer). You can check by visiting:

Now there is API support:

I would also love to see this - I’m using it to control the sprinklers for a homemade porch potty for the pup.

I have a Rachio 3 Sprinkler Controller (4ch) and a Smart Hose Timer with Rachio wifi Hub.

I can see and control both the Sprinkler Controller and the Smart Hose Timer in the iOS an Android apps. I can only see (and control) the Sprinkler Controller on the web portal https://app.rach.io/. I can also only see (and control) the Sprinkler Controller on the Home Assistant integration. The Smart Hose Timer is connected to the Wifi Hub (tested by turning off wifi and bluetooth tablet connectivity and could still control the Smart Hose Timer).
@Michael_Borohovski @jmw_ha or anyone else, Can i please ask, do you see the Smart Hose Timer in the web app?

Thanks

No the hose timer doesn’t show up in the web app for me. I think I read somewhere the web app is no longer supported so that’s probably why.

Thank you. So at the moment, there is no way to get the Smart Hose Timer into HA??

Not at the moment no.

It looks like API support has been added:

hopeful someone with a lot more smarts than me can get this into the integration

+1 for Smart Host Timer API support!

Rachio Hose Timer is in the API now:

Controller API is hosted at https://api.rach.io/1
Smart Hose Timer API is hosted at https://cloud-rest.rach.io*

Any traction getting the hose timers in HA?

Note that our Controller API is hosted at https://api.rach.io/1 whereas the Smart Hose Timer API is hosted at https://cloud-rest.rach.io
