Reconfiguration of Alexa media player not possible

Hi there;

I received on my notifications 2 new notifications :Alexa Media Reauthentication Required and the other ,Integration requires reconfiguration.
I follow the link and both send me to the Integrations where I found 2 new integrations to reconfigure. I press the button to configure and nothing happens on Both. At the same time I receive from Amazon a OTP .My echo become unavailable .I have NABUCASA.I already update Custom_Components but didn’t solved .I’m running Home Assistant 2022.8.7 ,Supervisor 2022.08.5 ,Operating System 8.5
Frontend 20220802.0 - latest
Any idea about what is happening is welcome.

Rgds

I have the same setup and are receiving the same notifications…I enter the details and OTP, it goes away and then comes back the next day. This has happened for the past two days now. I guess Amazon have changed something…I am in the UK if anyone has similar experiences…

Mine renewed fine this morning…first renewal in a long time and all painless

Mine renewed fine too…But only lasted 24 hours before it popped up again…I thought is might be related to issues I was having with Spotify too…But it looks like they have changed the way API calls in Spotipy so that is bricked at the moment

Same issue, I’ve to reconfigure Alexa integration every day, even several times a day.

Alexa can still manage IoT from HA, but TTS are deads

Same here… and there are several opened issues about it.

Can you point me to those, please?

Thanks very much.

this issue is not solved.

i had the same problem.

i reconfigured, needed to register a new app with a new code, then verify on amazon, come back to ha, login to amazon page, verify the code i get on my mobile phone.

then go to automations, run a notification to alexa, booooom another HA notification pops up that i need to reconfigure.

did it.

automation again, test - boooooom again the notification…

whats the solution to this?

tried again two times and now it doesnt even work. when i enter the codes and come back to HA it says this configuration needs to visit an external website…

Try removing and then re-adding the Alexa Integration

thank you for your help.

every time there is something not working, i got it.
but mostly i got one on top - thats how my life works.

So i did what you said, BUT i had to reconfigure it properly to be able to remove it completely.
and then i added it completely new.

and immediately after adding i had the notification again…
and guess what?

i now have 2 of those not working integrations:

isnt that something funny?
i am really laughing now.

(in the meantime i altered my automations so that they go over IFTTT to Alexa, because i slightly had the feeling that this wont be solved fast here)

EDIT: i also now got 6 devices authorized in Amazon and have no clue how to erase them… every time i try again, there is one device more showing up there. (the counter at least, the device i cannot see)

i apreciate if you got more ideas as i am quite new to HA and myself have no ideas left to try.

Sorry, if you already did this, but did you first delete the integration by clicking on the three dots and then choosing ‘Delete’? You will now need to this for both instances before trying to re-add. Also, make sure that you restart HA after deleting, and before re-adding.

Dont be sorry, i am glad for your help, its just that my life is a bit more complicated than the one of others, but i can manage that

i had to reconfigure it before the delete option within the three dots were available.

i didnt restart the HA. (i dont know why, maybe i am a bit stupid…)

i will check again to reconfigure, delete, restart HA and add again…

i will report as soon as i did it.

thanks again.

reconfigured 2 instances.

then i had 3. two who looked ok and one not.
then i deleted the 2 who looked ok.

then restart HA
then reboot raspberry

then took a look, no alexa anymore
then waited until just before now

then did the integration again,
and just right after i finished integrating…

tadaaaaa

Edit: forgot to mention that it doesnt work. I thought that was clear.

I’ve been having the same problems for the last few days. Could just work on it again now.

I’m now using the built-in 2FA from Media Player (Configuration · custom-components/alexa_media_player Wiki · GitHub) and it works.
Just copy the code from the Amazon website into the field in Media Player when you reconfigure, hit send and verify with an OTP.
Reboot.

When it comes back, let it sit for a while (for me it was 2 days, but only because I didn’t have time to take care of it before) and then hit reconfigure again.

For me it just said “reauthenticated” and that was it.

i always was using that 2FA, which made my amazon experience worse but it said it needs it so i did it.

thats why i now have 9 code generating devices registered in amazon of which HA doesnt use 8 anymore and i cant delete them.

my integration doesnt work since 3 days now.
and every try i make made it worse.
