I have a new central heating boiler from Rehema, a Tzerra Ace, which has several communication methods, including its own serial bus with which you can monitor the boiler with a service tool and the like, but I cannot find a pinout for this boiler unfortunately …
But it also communicates via Open-Therm and Etwist / R-bus, at the moment I have an open therm gateway between the boiler and the (open-therm) room thermostat, but I am going to use an Etwist thermostat for it (still to be delivered ) which can also be operated via the remeha etwist app, google home and IFTTT.
Now I wondered if this etwist can also be linked directly to Home_Assistent without needing the open therm gateway anymore.
the advantage of this is that I can connect the Etwist thermostat directly to the boiler without having to convert the open therm to R-bus first, so less chance of errors, and probably better communication?
I myself am not at home is google Home or IFTTT, but who knows, who knows, with some help?
Hi, I’m getting my new Remeha heating boiler with eTwist Thermostat next month. I already did some searching and found a method using IFTTT, but my experiences with IFTTT recently were disappointing, so i’m looking for other, more reliable ways. I’ll let you know when i find something usable.
I can’t get it to work via the ETWIST, only some IFTTT messages, but I don’t get any malfunction and status messages such as water pressure, burner status, etc.
so I now have the etwist GW after my OT Gateway, and the OT Gateway is then connected to HA again, I already had this function running, so actually only use the ETWIST as a clock thermostat which I can easily operate.
So it could also be done with HA itself, but then you always have to open HA, and provide a th sensor yourself
Ok i will have to do some more research then, i don’t have a OT gateway yet and my Etwist is connected to the R-Bus. Is it also possible with it connected to the R-Bus or do i need to get the etwist gateway as well? Thanks for the help. Really appreciate it
Yes it’s the calenta ace. I have it connected to the R-Bus. And have the app working but i want it in my HA system as well. So if I add the OT gateway this should be possible right.
So I have the Calenta Ace40c boiler with a Etwist thermostat. I now have the otgw connected and in HA, I don’t have the etwist gateway, suppose to be installed in the boiler already with the ace. But my Etwist doesn’t turn on anymore. Do I really need an etwist gateway as well? And do i have some wiring wrong since the thermostat doesn’t turn on anymore? This is how i have it connected:
The boiler has 3 differerent modes On\Off, Open-Therm & Remeha Protocol.
The Etwist works witht the remeha protocol and is no longer working if you connect the open therm gateway becouse the boiler will go to open therm mode. I have the same boiler and connected a Honywell Thermostat with the Open Therm Gateway now everything is working fine.
I installed the integration via HACS, first via the old version, where I have to enter the pairing code, then I got error messages, now I have run the update where I only have to enter the email and password, I’m sure it’s the right one has been seen in the app it does work, and then I get an error message, with the following log messages
Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong?
