I’ve got hassio setup so I can send a remote code to my TV through the web GUI. It’s a Panasonic TV and requires a long remote press to turn on, I can see the red light blink once but it’s not a long enough signal. Is there any way of configuring it to send a long remote press?
Use a script and send the signal multiple times.
Thanks dude - you’re talking to a noob here though! How do I do that?
Cheers
In action u have the script wich fires the board link command twice
try this
switches:
panasonic_tv:
command_on: 'JgCEAw4ODQ4ODg4ODg4OKw4ODg4ODg4ODg4NDg4ODg4ODg4rDg4ODg4ODg4ODg0ODg4ODg4ODisOKw4qDisOKw4ODg4ODg4qDisOKw4rDioODg4rDgAJlHM4Dg4OKw0ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4NKw4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4qDg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODioOKw4rDisNKw4ODg4ODg4rDioOKw4rDisODg4qDgAJlHM4Dg4OKw4ODg4ODg0ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4OKw4ODg0ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4rDg4ODQ4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODisOKg4rDisOKw4NDg4ODg4rDisOKw4qDisODg4rDgAJk3M4Dw0OKw4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg0ODg4ODg4OKw4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODQ4ODg4ODg4rDg4ODg4ODg4ODg4NDg4ODg4ODisOKw4qDisOKw4ODg4ODg4qDisOKw4rDioODg4rDgAJlHM4Dg4OKw0ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4OKg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4qDg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODioOKw4rDisOKg4ODg4ODg4rDisNKw4rDisODg4qDgAJlHM4Dg4OKw4ODg4ODg4NDg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4OKw4ODg0ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4rDg4ODQ4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODisOKg4rDisOKw4NDw0ODg4rDisOKw4qDisODg4rDgAJk3M5Dg0OKw4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg0PDQ4ODg4OKw4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODQ8NDg4ODg4rDg4ODg4ODg4ODg4NDw0ODg4ODisOKw4qDisOKw4ODg4ODg4qDisOKw4rDioODg4rDgAJlHM4Dg4OKw4NDg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4OKg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4qDg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODioOKw4rDisOKg4ODg4ODg4rDisOKg4rDisODg4qDgAJlHM4Dg4OKw4ODg4ODg4ODQ4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4OKw4ODg0PDQ4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODg4rDg4ODQ8NDg4ODg4ODg4ODg4ODisOKg4rDisOKw4NDw0ODg4rDisOKw4qDisODg4rDgANBQAAAAA='

friendly_name: 'Panasonic TV'
Panasonic TVs usually have discrete power on and power off codes built in so have a Google and see what you can find. If it’s a ‘smart’ TV you may also be able to turn it off across your LAN with the HA Panasonic component.
Claudio - many thanks, that worked! Only for turning it on though, there must be a different code to turn it off, any idea what it is?
In the meantime I’ll try to turn it off over the LAN as Bobby says
I gave you two commands the codes are different: one for ON other for OFF
on my Panasonic 2013 model does not work (or better say not always works)
Weird - it was working fine, now it isn’t. It’s telling the Broadlink to send a remote code and the red light is appearing but it isn’t making the TV light flash so for some reason it’s not reaching the TV
Same thing happened with the RF plug sockets - it worked a couple of times, now it doesn’t. Broadlink sends the RF signal but it doesn’t turn the plug on.
There’s nothing in log to suggest anything is wrong, just seems the remote codes are no longer correct.
Any ideas what’s going on?
No idea, but maybe it works only if you start from the learn the remote code to the broadlink, and then you extract the generated code from the broadlink
Many thanks again for your help. TV is now working! I just rebooted and it started to work again.
Just need the correct RF codes now for the plug sockets. I’ve tried numerous times in learning mode and it just doesn’t pick up the right code.
Has anyone got any sample RF codes I could try? The plugs are made by Brennenstuhl but the codes they use might be generic
UPDATE -
The RF sockets are finally working. I can only assume the learning function is a bit hit and miss and you might need multiple goes to get the right one.
Hope this helps someone!
I have some more questions but that’ll do for tonight!
@matt666 As I don’t see who is Claudio, which way did work for you?
Sending the command multiple times or the command a user posted here?
I have a pretty old Panasonic here without any lan/Smart capabilities
The code that anon35356645 posted above worked, maybe Claudio deleted his account as I think he posted that.
Sorry for refloat this topic, but I’m curious how you got this code.
it has worked well.
My ON code for a pasasonic vt20 that I have taken is this:
JgDMAHI5Dw4OKg8ODw0PDg8NDw4PDQ8ODw0PDg8NDw4OKw4ODw4ODg8ODg4PDg4ODw4ODg8qDw0PDg8NDw4PDQ8ODw0PDg8qDw0PKg8qDyoPKg8ODg4PKg8ODioPKg8qDyoPDw4qDgAJhXI5Dw0PKg8PDg4ODg8ODg8NDg8PDQ4PDg4PDg8NKw4PDg4ODw4ODg8ODg4PDg4ODg8qDw4ODw4NDw4PDQ8ODg4PDw0rDg8OKg8qDyoPKg8ODg8OKg8ODioPKg8qDyoPDw0rDgANBQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
How do you get from that code to get yours ?, which has worked well for me
Hi
I am a disabled person.
The Broadlink RM Mini 3 makes my everyday life a lot easier and I thank you for that.
I would like to use Broadlink RM Mini 3 to control my stair lift
For that, I need a long press of the button.
Calling the lift takes about 40 seconds and during this time the remote control button must be still pressed all the time.
At the moment I have been able to program a long press for up to 6 seconds.
Is there a chance to program a constant long press for 40 seconds?
It would be very helpful for me and for many disabled people.
I’m asking for your help.
Model of my stair lift: Bruno SRE 2010 ELITE
App: ihc for EU
System: iOS 12
Hi Przemek_Kuniniec
Did you manage to get your Broadlink to work with your stairlift successfully?
I would be very interested what you did
Thanks
unfortunately broadlink software still does not offer this possibility: /
