Rename an Entity ID

I have added a few Temperature Sensors (Zigbee, via Aqara) to my HA instance. And named them nicely.

But the entity ID is a bit hard to use.

At the moment, I have:

lumi_lumi_sensor_motion_aq2_device_temperature_1
lumi_lumi_sensor_motion_aq2_device_temperature_2

Is there a way to rename these to something more friendly? Like:

lumi_lumi_sensor_motion_aq2_device_temperature_outdoor
lumi_lumi_sensor_motion_aq2_device_temperature_indoor

I thought I saw you could edit the configuration.yaml, but all my devices are not shown there. I might have a misunderstanding, but I can’t see any yaml file which lists all my devices and entities.

When viewing an entity in the frontend click on the cog wheel in the pop-up and change the ID from there

There is a feature request that addresses the underlying problem (renames are not propagated through the integration): Reset / Re-acquire entity_id you might want to vote for it.
