Ring doorbell cameras now have modes: “Home”, “Away” and “Disarmed”.
Is it possible to read &/ write these modes via the standard integration?
Thanks!

Possibility to change mode for presence detection would be so nice
I really want this too, come from hubitat and could do it with that. Would complete my home assistant migration to get this. Please
This would be really nice
Yes please add this, would be helpful for arming the camera at night as an automation.
Agree, could really be useful for automating arming and disarming of my ring cameras
This would be wonderful in order to be notified of motion only when nobody is home. Other than the doorbell ringer, I don’t need notifications from other cameras while we are home!
I did manage to do the modes stuff with Ring-MQTT
See also the new Ring geofence feature just announced and rolling out now: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052805372
Geofences are great, when there is one person, but always just useless when there are 2 or more.
Never function right.
integration of Ring Modes in HA would be great!
I subscribe to this, being able to automate arm and disarm would be great !
would be awesome!
+1, this is such an annoyance trying to figure out how to change it. Doesn’t look like Ring has this exposed via their API though…
Hi Sean
I’m trying to activate ring modes through HA as well: to set to away mode at sunset and home mode at sunrise. I’ve installed the ring-mqtt but don’t know where to go from there.
All help appreciated.
It should appear under devices in the MQTT integration
Great thank you!
I see the Ring Doorbell and a bunch of entities in the MQTT integration, but nothing about modes. How did you go about it?
I didn’t do anything as far as I remember,it was just there:
Mine came in as a MQTT entity starting with alarm_control_panel.
