Risco alarm system

Hi, what are the commands to reset the panel? I have connection issues sometimes on reboot and I’d like to check if a reboot can fix it. It worked correctly for a long time even with reboots, but recently it started to behave strangely. I have all the codes for the panel but don’t know where to look for a reboot.

I just received message that cloud soon will become payable. Does anyone know what is the price of subscribtion? And second question. Does risco running locally requires cloud to arm or disarm?

No, you can do everything local, risco is already payable for 2 years I believe, I pay 24€ a year

Hi, what are the commands to reset the panel?

Did you figure this out?

I tried entering the techinician menu and then exiting: this causes the setup to be fully reloaded and it seems to work somehow. I don’t know if there’s a more proper procedure.

Here in Italy it has been a paying subscription for a while now. The local integration is much better in terms of speed and does not rely on the cloud at all, so it’s free of charge.

As a matter of fact I don’t understand why the HA documentation states that the cloud system is “recommended”: apart from a slightly easier setup I can’t see a single aspect that is better with the cloud.

(this is a duplicate post; if this is not OK I will remove)

I’m in need of support here…

I setup the cloud integration. Arming works, however I can only disarm using the grand master (or installer, or site pin). User codes are rejected in the integration, although they work on the physical keypad.

In the local integration it’s even worse: I can arm the alarm, but no code whatsoever is accepted to disarm it. Again, the codes do work on the keypad, but the integration rejects all of them.

In the logs I can only see this:

2024-05-26 15:46:34.615 WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.risco.alarm_control_panel] Wrong code entered for disarming
2024-05-26 15:46:42.497 WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.risco.alarm_control_panel] Wrong code entered for disarming
2024-05-26 15:46:52.033 WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.risco.alarm_control_panel] Wrong code entered for disarming

Any ideas? Is there a debug mode to get more info?

Thanks!

The answer was given in another thread:

Hi, I have another problem with the integration: my external siren case broke and triggered the tamper permanently.
This prevents me from arming the system from home assistant. My console is already set to arm even with tamper active, but it simply won’t work, returning a N12 error.
I can arm the system just fine with the keyfob.
The tamper contacts are not imported from the integration so I can’t even bypass them…
Anyone can suggest a solution?

Edit: typo.

Hi,

Do you guys now which sensor i can use for if someone breaks into the house?
I would say binary_sensor.risco_alarm_sirene but it will probably go off to for a fire alarm?

you can use your alarm panel for that, no need for a binary sensor
it will give the state “triggered”

ok thx
it wont be triggered by fire ?

Probably it will, it never happened here…
But just put some smoke under a detector to find out

I test all my detector every 2 year

Hi
I got something weird. Yesterday my wife was cooking and accidently triggered the fire alarm of the living room.

The weird thing is, i got an email from risco saying theres a fire, but i got nothing from home assistant.

So i thought my automations werent good but they are.
The thing is, my sensors didnt do anything.
Theres one sensor (binary_sensor.risco_alarm_brand) you can see the state is fire

But my smoke detector of the living room… has no detection state.
How can that be???
I could use the binary_sensor.risco_alarm_brand in my automation too, but what i want to know is, why the state of the smoke detector living didnt do anything?

anyone can help pls?

Hello, everyone. I have a Risco Prosys alarm system which is quite old but works very well. I would like to integrate it into home assistant perhaps via bus and ESP32. Can anyone give me some tips to get started?

I leave below some information about my system. Maybe someone has already done this implementation.

Hi all,

Does anyone know if it is possible to trigger the Risco alarm siren with 3rd party sensors, which are integrated in to HA, but not direct connected to the Risco hardware panel?
