But my guess is that my panel uses the cloud maybe to sync the time… maybe you can use/enable the cloud again and see what happens? You don’t need a subscription, just enabling is enough…
If you have old panel , the local integration doesn’t work… but I use the addon with that one has a proxy, so I have the both, using a single socket
The addon uses the same API, so speed is the same
The only advantage of the addon , is that it has a proxy onboard, so for older risico boards you can still use 1 socket … So you can still have cloud enabled, but wit the advantage of local speed
Do you guys still hae the old board that only allows 1 socket? Maybe thats the issue? Because HA is already connected to the board, the board doesn’t make a cloud connection? Do you guys still have risco cloud enabled?
That cloud be the reason why it works for my old board, i use the addon with the proxy, so i use cloud with the speed of local connection
official HA integration, you can also use cloud here, this one is based on polling, thats indeed slow for motion sensors
the addon, this one is as fast as the local integration, its based on same API, and you can setup as a proxy, its a listener between the panel <> cloud, so it only needs 1 socket … We are tesing a forked one, this one is an addon in progress with new updates, i think it has even more sensors/entitties then the local integration, for instance you also use zone outputs…
I’m gonna let you guys test.
I changed many times already…
All is working good and fast now, the only thing is the clock…
As @MichaelT said, the addon was slower than the one we are on now…
Well, i use the addon for a year now, my sensors are instant, abolutely no delay on it
If i walk before a sensor, not more then a 0,5 sec i see it changing in HA
Yes, cause you had troubles running the addon and proxy , then the best alternative is the official integration, but you will loose cloud access (old boards with 1 socket)
It’s a new version, but still use the same json file for config… But remember , you need to change your risco panel to connect to your HA IP instead of www.riscocloud.com, the outgoing connection should to to HA, so HA is able to intercept traffic and then send it to cloud…
Or if you have advanced router, you can setup IPtables
Just a quick update @skank
Installed the add-on, running in proxy mode. Works fine at first sight.
Will monitor if I notice any delays and how my clock reacts
