Risco alarm system

But I don’t think it will resolve the clock timeout… I see those messages too, and I use the proxy cloud

Still same time and day/year

Have you setup the correct DNS too? Otherwise it can’t resolve the ntp server

Or ping that pool server and enter the IP instead

I didnt change anything for dns
i just changed the stuff like @MichaelT did. I wonder if it works for him?

Not sure where to set the dns, and what to use either.
When i ping be.pool.ntp.org i get return from 45.87.76.3

Try to fill in that IP address instead on your panel? Maybe it’s not possible setting up DNS on our risco panels, don’t know

And maybe that’s the reason why it’s failing

Or setup like I have in my screenshot I posted earlier, I have risco 8 years, never seen an issue with clock

Doesn’t seem to work here either. After a few days panel clock is ahead of real time.
New attempt: installed GitHub - hassio-addons/addon-chrony: chrony - Home Assistant Community Add-ons and set my HA IP as NTP host on the Risco panel. Let’s see where that gets us…

My clock is always in sync, maybe you can use my settings I posted in screenshot?

@MichaelT how does it go now?

No success. Clock on the risco panel not syncing. Guess it will be a deep dive in the Risco settings to see if something is blocking this.

It did work before when I was still connected to Risco cloud, so cutting off the cloud must be the cause. I wonder if there’s a setting that can fix this…

same here, mine wont sync either, and use a local NTP server as well.

Maybe a firmware update can help? What version are you running on the old lightsys boards? Mine syncs, but is still connected to cloud… Maybe indeed cloud makes it sync, but kinda beats the purpose of the ntp config…

Have you tried mine settings with the strange ntp port?

no idea how to update the firmware.

You can do it from the panel…

can you explain what to put in filename

each time I try nothing happens

I put nothing in, I started the upgrade from my LCD panel itself, all was default

Sometimes risco disconnects from homeassistant and it is a problem to reconnect,

I am only able to reconnect by restarting risco system

Made any progress concerning the clock?

Nope, neither setting seems to work. I’ve given up and will just manually re-adjust the clock bimonthly or so when it is too far ahead to my liking.

I also noticed that my follow-me sms notification when the alarm triggers doesn’t work when connected to Home Assistant. When I shutdown HA (or stop the Risco integration) all sms texts that have been piled up suddenly are sent all at once. If the alarm triggers when HA is not connected, it sends immediately.

It must be something with our panels I guess that doesn’t allow any other communication while you’re connected directly over IP. Be it NTP, follow-me,… Unless there is some hidden setting that enables this I’m not seeing a solution. Perhaps a firmware upgrade helps, still have to try that (hoping it won’t break anything :’) )
