Samba can't access config folder anymore from Win 11

I have never had an issue with Samba up until today and I am not sure what update may have caused the problem. Basically, I can get to \x.x.x.x but not \x.x.x.x\config. I have the config folder mapped and it seems to be taking my credentials when I re-map no problem, but it is saying I do not have permission once I actually try to open it.

OS - 8.0
supervisor - 2022.05.2
core - 2022.4.5 (holding off on 2022.5.4 due to Alexa Media Player issues post upgrade)
Samba share - 9.6.1

I see this in the Samba Share logs but can confirm everything in File Editor shows it to be there. I’d have a lot of broken stuff if it was missing.

chdir_current_service: vfs_ChDir(/config) failed: No such file or directory. Current token: uid=0, gid=0, 11 groups: 0 1 2 3 4 6 10 11 20 26 27

Any ideas? I

What folders/files are listed in the file manager window when you enter \x.x.x.x ? Do you see the folder named config? The error suggests that folder isn’t present.

I was just getting ready to post my Samba share config settings and SMB for Windows but see that there is a toggle for “enable compatibility mode” so decided to set it to on and now it is working.

Perhaps it got toggled off when I updated? Anyway, working fine now.

Thank you for the response @rcblackwell

Glad everything is working now.
