I cannot connect from my win11 pc to home assistant via samba share…
In config of samba i wrote the IP of my PC und then i go to win explorer und type //192.168…
But there is allways the same issue report:
Cannot connect to server
Can anybody help?
Share your actual addon config. Local addresses are not routable on the internet so there is no need to obscure them. You can obscure the password and username.
Also you seem to be under the impression that this addon will share data from your PC to Home Assistant. It will not. It will only share from Home Assistant to your PC. Or maybe it is a language thing.
You have some redundant hosts information there, 192.168.178.60/24 includes all the 192.168.178.x addresses.
In windows what happens when you type \\<your_home_assistant_ip_address> in the file explorer address bar?
Does it ask you for credentials.
What ip addresses are your PC and Home Assistant on?
Are they in the same subnet?

You’re going to have to translate those messages. Are you connecting with the credentials you have listed?
Also, I believe you need to have network discovery enabled in Windows if I recall correctly.
I don’t think this is going to work. I believe this add-on only gives access TO Home Assistant folders FROM a PC.
Home Assistant can NOT see PC shares using this add-on.

You most definitely should not be attempting to use SAMBA over the internet.
