Hello all,
I’m using shelly integration with several devices (around 20). unfortunately 4 of the ones installed are not found by home assistant integration, simply with “could not connect” message even if the devices are properly connected to the network, are reachable through web page and shelly app.
any hint to solve this? thank you.
Are the missing 4 generation 1 devices?
If so, you have to enable CoIoT in the device (and preferably unicast too).

the version actually installed is 20220809-123456/v1.12-g99f7e0b. should I assume that it’s a Gen. 1 device?
No the firmware version is not going to help (though it should be up to date).
I mean what type of devices are they?
e.g.
Shelly 1
Shelly 2.5
Shelly EM
Shelly Dimmer 2
etc…
they’re all shelly 2.5.
I’ve tried however to enable CoIoT in one of them, but didn’t help.

No nothing required on the HA side.
The device firmware is up to date?
I think so, but FYI, several other shellies are 1st generation (like shelly 1, shelly dimmer or shelly RGBW) and the CoIoT setting was not required…
Correct, but they do work a lot better if you enable it and unicast.
Is it only the Shelly 2.5 with the issue?
Do any of the Shelly 2.5 devices work?
I have 8 awnings based on shelly 2.5, 4 of them are integrated in HA with no issues, the other 4 are not inclued. and they’re based all on the same hardware (all purchased at same batch)…that’s why I could not explain this behaviour…
Is there anything unusual about your network that those 4 non-working devices are connected through?
Like they all connect form a different subnet or something?
not at all.
everything is set up in the same way, I use a unifi LR AP for all wifi devices at home…no VLANS, no custom set up, nothing at all.
I could not really find a reason why.
I’m out of ideas. The only thing I can suggest is factory reset the devices and try again.
Yea, as last attempt I will manage it…thanks a lot.
Looks weird. With update 23.4.1 The Shelly Plus S1 is not found anymore. Webaccess to the plug works but HA cannot find is. Firmware updated to latest and CoIot changed as mentioned earlier in this thread. Also reboot of the device failed. Shelly has network connection but can’t be found by HA

I seem to have a similar problem. Were you able to resolve it? Did you need a factory reset for this?
Complete reinstallation solved the issue
reinstallation of what? The Shelly device?
