Good to see they are giving more options and looking at the media post it looks like they are also adding LoRA support via addon:

The LoRA setup is something I would prob invest in to try out for various use cases.

Would someone be able to check if these relays can be directly attached to Philips Hue?
I’m currently using Shelly Wave I4 with Home Assistant automation, but the delay is noticeable.

I’m also interested to know about integration with Hue. As well as what Matter clusters they’ve implemented

Hm… does this multiprotocol thing also means that we won’t be able to change their firmware to esphome ? Since i doubt that they still contain esp32 - or do they?

Guys, these products haven’t been released yet so asking questions here is fruitless at this point.

Shelly have a pretty active FB group where the staff & CEO hang out. If you want the info before release, I suggest you ask there

Not really, if they were introduced it’s already exactly known what’s inside, right?

FB… i hate it. I don’t have it, never did, never will. And i hate people who think that FB is “the world” and all world is spinning around FB… so they communicate via FB and that’s it, and if you don’t have it you’re nothing…

Just for info: FB (recently?) disabled viewing public contents to non-FB users even if contents is marked public. So, it has become a closed community. Consequently it’s not exactly smart move to “communicate via FB” if you want as many customers as possible.

I thought I’m the only FB virgin on this planet…

They are available in shelly.com store as of today.

That’s not entirely true

Not only that they are very much selling, but some of them are already out of stock…

Lol, says the Shelly integration Dev who probably has early access :stuck_out_tongue:

I swear I checked multiple countries in the Shelly site before posting yesterday. They were all showing as Out of Stock.

EM mini was never up for sale in the first place mate. That’s just a placeholder until release

You know, someone has to make sure that the devices are supported in HA when they reach the first users.

Yes, there is a lot of interest and the devices were quickly sold out.

Ok, then this is …what? If not for sale?

The 1PM and the EM are 2 different devices. Just look at the banner as soon as you open the Shelly page and you will see that the EM still hasn’t (officially) launched.

That’s not the point. The point is that you said gen4 are not released yet, which is obviously not true, if i can put them into basket and buy, right?

I thought it was true when I posted that a day ago. They were certainly not available for sale yesterday, though I might have landed on the US site (where they’re still not showing for sale as of right now).

You’re partly right though. It seems they were officially released in some* EU storefronts 3 days ago, judging by the announcement

*some, because I swear that when I checked the store for my (EU) country yesterday, there were no Gen4 devices or zigbee options available.

For my usecase I would like to connect Gen4 directly to Philips Hue using zigbee. Right now only Sonoff relay is confirmed to work with Hue, but it requires its own gateway for firmware updates. If Gen4 is able to join Hue network it would be a perfect solution (wifi for updates, zigbee for direct comms with Hue bridge). I’m not realy eager to order it though, as I have 7 wave 2PMs in my drawer waiting for crucial bugfix.

I have all my shelly’s flashed with esphome. I do that at first power-on. I like my devices to do what i want, not what some company decides it’s good for me. That’s why i asked about ability to flash gen4 to esphome.

But, to be honest, all my devices are old - gen2; i have yet to try to flash my first gen3 device into esphome, but gen4 is already here… :grimacing: so it seems that perhaps i’ll skip gen3 at all…
