smartIR not worked

I have followed this link to control my air-conditioner using broadlink, but it gave me an error (smartir process not found) after adding it to configuration.yaml

Have you restarted HA after installing SmartIR?

I tried but it can’t because smartir not defined to hass

I do not really get a grab on what you might mean by “can’t restart HA”.

However, whenever you add or update a custom integration, no matter whether it was done manually or through HACS, a restart of HA is mandatory to have HA initialize the latter correctly.

2 solutions:

  • remove “smartir:” from your config, restart, re-add it, restart
  • reboot

HASS can’t recognize smartir in config file so it throw an error which prevent him from restarting
