Does anyone else have problem with updating Samsung tv sensors from smartthings?
Sometime it works and show correct information on tvchannelname and sometimes not.
Integration reload wont help everytime and i really dont know how that works, because tv wont send correct attributes everytime to Samsung Smartthings cloud.
How you people have been fixed this if you had same problem?
I assume that smartthings is only integration for newer tv’s.
Yeah i see that now, good, i mean if one can’t do shit, then just move on … now it’s hopefully “solved” ( without killing anyone
Samsung might regret their “move”, as such “stunt” is not good publicity for their Brand
As you haven’t specified which Samsung TV, nor whether you have searched for ( or posting ) your specific Settings etc. , You could try to use the Search Function in here, or Google
If it’s i.e an Old TV, there are some “unmaintained” integrations in HACS, and most likely a fork( more reason updated version) of same in Github
And BTW , seems like there are ongoing “issues” in the CORE integration, So maybe you could report(open an Issue) for your “Specific” problem in Github, Maaybe the maintainer of this component haven’t lost hope/fait in Samsung yet
Please read the very first post in this Forum ( Howto … ), with guidelines about which details, and how to post code, and relevant info , of your problem
Ohh, i just noticed, are you sure this integration (as linked to above) wouldn’t fit better for your TV Samsung Smart TV - Home Assistant .
If Not there is a maintained HACS/Github extension of this Native Integration
and now you can run that script any way you want from HA - for example attach it to a button, or use matter-hub and voice command through alexa, make an icon to click on, etc. etc.
Yes, it works now of course, but it use smartthings and sometimes there is big delay when that state update. I think tv’s wont polling to api cloud often or something.
Thats why i want channel info without smartthings and other reason is that Samsung start taking payment Smartthings.
