[Solved!] Broadlink stopped working after hassio upgrade 0.87.1 -> 0.88.1

Running 0.87.1 my broadlink switches worked fine. No related errors in the log as far as I can remember. After updating to 0.88.1 my broadlink switches do nothing and in the log I have

Setup of platform broadlink is taking over 10 seconds. (from __main__.py, WARNING)

and

Timeout during authorization (from broadlink.py, ERROR)

My Broadlink hardware is the RM mini 3.
Hass.io running on a Rpi. I tried rebooting it, no change.

I was thinking this might be related: https://github.com/home-assistant/home-assistant/pull/20924
But I don’t use timeout in my config.

Solved. Had to not only reboot hassio, I also had to shut down and physically disconnect power to the raspberry. Now it works…

I just had the same issue under the exact same conditions except other version of hass.io.

Same ‘solution’ solved it for me. Thanks a lot, was driving me mad.

This is still the case for v 0.106.5

And yes, you need to shutdown, turn off, turn on. Restart server management does not work.
