Sonoff NSPanel Blueprint - Configure your own custom NSPanel easy via a Blueprint

@all
sorry for the delay i don’t check here in the forum that often - if you have errors it’s best to check the github wiki what’s open or closed.

For almost all your questions / problems there are already tickets in Github which are solved and how they were solved

Bummer. No worries, thanks for letting me know before I found out the hard way!

welcome

Thanks! I saw that solution, but I get an error message. I hope it’s only the usb-ttl that is at fault. I ordered a different type of usb/ttl. Hopefully that will be good.

Thanks yeah tried that, including a re-flash from scratch but no joy.
Stuck like this, but it all works just fine in HA.

Are you using the right panel name when setting up the automation based on the Blueprint?

ok success!
I fixed it, somehow…

The trick for this unit was to restart the unit repeatedly. I didn’t do this intentionally. I had a powercut at home, and the unit has come back alive and is working perfectly!
Thanks everyone!

My other unit is completely dead, but i suspect that may be down to the PCB ribbon not being correctly re-attached from when i flashed it.

perfect and welcome

I would really like to thank you for this great project.

1 of my 2 panels is already flashed with this one.
I still have to configure some stuff.
But my plan is to update the other one as well. I only need to find some time to migrate the Tasmota rules to esphome scripts.

@Blackymas thanx for lovely work. I have 6 NSPanel installed with ESPHome and Nextion. But your ESPhome and Blueprint will make it so much easier to keep up do date with.

I have one question, is it possible to change the first page (default page), I don’t want to have the page with weather info as my default page, would it be possible to have that page last in the page sequence, and make “page 1” the default page, or be able to set what of the pages should be the default one?

For me it’s more importen to be able to turn on/off the light or switches easy and fast, than be able to see the weather info

Thanks - you are of course welcome to leave us a donation - we would be very happy about that

you can find the link on Github

We are happy that you like our version and that you can run 6 NSpanels with it.

Even more we would be happy about a donation - I know I already wrote it above but mentioning it twice is not wrong .9

to your question:

In general, you can swipe right, left, up and down for quick accessibility.

But your request is already on our roadmap.

We are currently working on these topics. So can not yet say when we get to it

Right unfortunately I have got myself into a bit of a mess

I tried installing with the original method but I was hit with the very slow tft upload (remote tft file). @Blackymas advised on @MarkWattTech 's video that a local source i.e. the www folder would be better. During changing over to that and uploading I had a power outage so that I was presented with the system data error for the display when I tried again .
I tried a number of different ways to recover but in the end I flashed to Tasmota, I could not get it to take the either the blackymas nspanel.tft nor the blank.tft. At which point I installed the lovelace UI thinking I could revert back… This resurrected the screen and I was presented with the “waiting for content” screen with the animation.

To be able to go back to using this blueprint I then spent a lot of time trying to flash the tfts (nspanel_blank) via tasmota but it always registered them as 0 bytes, (on the upload screen). At which point due to some of the comments in the thread I then went back to ESPhome.
I have again tried to flash the nspanel_blank.tft and nspanel.tft by adding to the esphome code and reflashing, both with installing locally (from /local/) or from github. I also tried specifying the URL in the secrets folder and manually calling the service. From ESPhome it does not seem to want to send the .tft file (I never get the progress bar) and I am just left with the waiting for connection screen on the display.

If anybody has any ideas it would be very much appreciated, thank you

How do we update our existing setups from 3.0?

Of course, I donate some money earlier today, hope it will help you and the team

Another cool stuff would be that if the front page (the one with temp and weather stuff, when using it that you then come to button page 1. You don’t need to swipe, just press the screen (like that the front/default page is a screen saver, and when the display I pressed it open up the page1

what I did,
while using tasmota, all effort I made for espdownload was just to slow.
so while using tasmota.
store the .tft files on a http location, not https, Tasmota can’t handle that well enougt.
and then first flash _blank.tft
and afterwards the other file.

then create the esphome file (legacy) zip with 7zip .bin.gz
and upload it in tasmota firmware update.

Thank you tasmota to the rescue for me too. Weirdly the IP address to the www/local folder did not work, though when I tried the ‘homeassistant.local’ instead and it worked a charm👍

Did anyone manage to get the right time?

@Blackymas any update on the US 120V version? I have your latest version installed and it seems to look OK horizontal, but no option to spin it, or any idea if its properly formatted for the horizontal format.

Figured I’d check before I dove into figure out how to help. If there is no update and you still need some assistance here, I’m interested in diving in (with the caveat that although I’m an IT professional I have no experience in Nextion)

Not to be a little selfish, but I am working on a test solution with some other folks here if you wanna help develop a US version! Blackymas did say they don’t have a US NSPanel on hand so we’re trying to step in and help rotate things/make it look good on a vertical screen
