Sungrow Winet-S addon for newer inverters

Same issue here.

SG8.0RT with DTSU666 smart meter, and meter data is not available. Do we need to add a configuration line to detect the smart meter?

Yes it has data available in the app. Checked by connecting to it directly. And the server is ‘Australia’ as well. Somehow its not coming in one of 39 sensors

Same issue here with no smart meter data for house consumption. Any-one figure this out?

Thanks Nick working smoothly on me SH50RT with SBR256.

This seem to be a very useful addon and I am very grateful for all the hard work you have put down to this. I am however facing some issue to connect to my Winet. MyYaml looks like this: winet_host: 192.168.0.42
mqtt_url: mqtt://mqttuser:MYweakpassword@core-mosquitto
winet_user: Myuser(mailaddress)
winet_pass: Mypassword
poll_interval: 10
analytics: true
ssl: true

It do fail with the error: Error: connect ETIMEDOUT 192.168.0.42:443 I can also not telnet the port so I guess that it is something on the Winet side. Do I need to be plugged in via cable? I am having a SH10RT - Three Phase Hybrid Inverter. It is sending the data to web3.isolarcloud.eu but it seems I am not allowed to connect in to my local Winet.

Thanks @NickS !
Works perfectly out of the box with my new SH25T. I think you can add this one to the compatibility list.

The battery will be added next year. I’ll get in touch once it’s installed.

Thanks for the great work!

Hi NickS,

Any plan to expose entity for the load like on the picture.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Nick,
I got your add on installed and working.
It is very powerful and reliable.

I appreciate this might be an FAQ, however here goes…

Q:- is there anyway to get the interface to pass sensor attributes from the grid supply (supply meter)?

Background:
a) My sungrow inverter has this information from a CT that the installer installed on the grid supply.
b) This would enable me to determine net export/import and load.
c) These are all available in the sungrow mobile app (iSolarCloud)

Just keen to see how I can get access to them.

Many Thanks

Thanks for the useful Add On. Got it working for an SH10RS and an SBR96

Hi together….
First of all: happy new year

Í am new on HA so sorry for maybe stupid questions
I try to implement your addon.

I get the connection to the Winet and i can see inside the protocoll it detects 68 sensors.

But i cań ´t find them when try to implement into energi dashboard.

Anything more i need to do ?

BR…

Thanks so much for this @NickS. Another confirmation that it works for the SH25T (it took 5-10 minutes for the sensors to figure themselves out, but they got there in the end). It also set up a device for my battery (SBH250), but I’m reading all the info from the inverter instead - everything I need is there.

Given this thing can take several minutes to update status on the official app, I’m very happy having this real time information!

I have the same issue too - prior to the last firmware update on my Winet-S2 I was able to see this data though; daily feed in was represented by Daily Feed-In Energy and daily purchased was represented by Daily Purchased Energy. Since the firmware update I only have Feed-in Energy Today (PV). I’ve verified that I also don’t see daily purchased in the Winet web interface.

Easily solved this by creating a meter helper in HA which resets at midnight and uses Total Purchased Energy as input. To then use this value in the built-in Energy Dashboard I customized this new sensor in configuration.yaml by adding the required attributes:

  device_class: energy
  unit_of_measurement: kWh
  state_class: total_increasing

Hi mingo74,

I’m having the same error trying to use this addon. Connection to MQTT and Device Detection works perfectly but then the “warn: Reconnecting to Winet” appears. Did you find a solution for this issue?

Thanks!

Confirmed works perfect with Sungrow SG12RT
Thanks for this nice work.
Love it.
Regards from Sweden

Thank you for this great addon.
Tried first to use modbus with the Sungrow inverter but found that the winet adapter is using websockets and then found this addon.

Especially I like the possibility to use it standalone. Using it here with a raspberry which prepares the data for home assistant.

Inverter is SG17RT
Winet version: M_WiNet-S_V01_V01_A
Log: “Connected to a older Winet-S device”

First I had disconnects / watchdog reconnects about every 5 minutes. I had not set the username / password for winet. This seems to be mandatory to have a continuous session. With no password it can login and extract data but the connection will be lost after about 5 minutes.

Thank you, it works like a gem
However, I can’t see the power from Grid and energy feed-in, anyone can help?
I’m using Winet-S and SG5.0RS
Thank you

One question. Is it possible to set/change maximum output power from inverter? Asking be casue need to dynamically change maximum inverter output based on max grid limitation and self-use. Having SG10RT - so without battery.

Hi all,

first of all a massive thank you to Nick. Your integration works great! Without any problem. Since I have two inverters running, I am keen to know whether it is possible to run a second instance or to readout a second inverter.

I would appreciate any help regarding that.

Thanks
Mathias

Bonjour a tous,

Nouveau venu dans HA, j’ai bien installé Winet-S addon.
Il détecte bien mon SG30RS.
Découvre bien mes capteurs.
Soucis, dans HA pas de valeurs, tout reste a zéro.
