Two questions related to the mobile client integration:
- What’s “best/easiest practice” in case of one person (my girlfriend) getting a new phone, and giving their old phone to a person (kid, in this case) when both have the Home Assistant mobile client installed?
If you just “migrate” all you stuff with the “download from iCloud” (in case of iPhone), the “old” kid phone is still tracked as my girlfriends’, even though she is no longer logged in on that phone.
Is it to completely delete that phone in the integration before logging in again (on the phone) with the new log in? It seems like there should be an easier way that I’m missing (I’m guessing that passing on a phone to a kid is not a new phenomenon).
- How do you rename the actual integration?
I have also tried renaming both in the mobile app (Device Name
) and in the integration panel itself, but even after a HA restart, the name doesn’t change in the integration panel, it’s still called iPhone (3)
Despite the renaming working for all the entities of the device, they were all changed to the new name.
