Toshiba home AC control

You should have some more logs with information what happened, please provide them

I want to provide them but I find them where?

Check the post Toshiba home AC control - #63 by kamaloo92 and the part about the logging to turn the logging on

Is there any Logic presence already for offline units ? At this moment 1 unit started to flash rapidly and Toshiba app Shows it has no connection, HA just shows as working with last values when it stopped working

Bonjour, Hello @h4de5

my AC unit is beeping from time to time. so far it seems this happens when it cannot reach the remote (toshiba) server. in this case i cannot control it with original toshiba app as well.

for such cases or if the device has been taken off the grid, the integration should show it as unavailable. which it does not at the moment.

i’ll create an issue for that.

It may be hard to detect this from integration. App tries to refresh info about AC when you open it - this way it gets the information it’s offline. Integration will need to check very frequently if the device is offline (we don’t get notification about this event) and I don’t think we should generate such requests all the time.

would this be STATE_RELOAD_PERIOD_MINUTES = 30? currently it takes up to 30min to notice that the device is offline?

I don’t know what property indicates that device is offline (I will have to force mine to go offline to check this) so changing this parameter may not help. But yes, this controls how often we ask server for device state beside AMQP notifications.

I have one that is offline so if I can test something for you please tell me
Can also test Some Python scripts of needed

I’ve make mine go offline but I don’t see any indication of this in the messages from server :frowning:

Hello
I updated with the “version”: “2021.9.1”,
Out of the 4 air conditioners, only 2 are recognized now

Back with version “version”: “2021.8.6”, It’s ok

yes - there is a problem with the API implementation at the moment - https://github.com/KaSroka/Toshiba-AC-control/issues/5 as soon as the PR is through, I can release a new version to fix this.

Just found this intergration and had to test it. Appears that the AC might be named different depending on the market. Located in Norway, the Toshiba Haori seems to be branded as Signature.

Got the AC nicely integrated with the following entities, and must say I’m REALLY happy to see it reporting power consumption! Great work!

it should take the name that you defined in the (official) toshiba mobile app.
if you provide me with the model number, i’ll add it to the list. (there some waiting to be added already.)

No problem.

Product name: Toshiba Signatur 25
Indoor unit: RAS-25N4KVRG-ND
Outdoor: RAS-25J2AVSG-ND1
Wifi: built-in

I haven’t gotten about to verify current functionality or “missing” features.
Basic operation like set temp, on/off, heat/cool/dry/fan works.Of course, outdoor temp and powerconsumption is working.

All in all, what I need and look for!

Again, great work.

Hi Andi,

I have integrated my two AC’s into HA because of your solution, great work!

At the moment I see 3 entities for two AC’s, the two AC’s and the outside temp.
Is it possible to get the current indoor temps as an entity aswell?
I can see the current temp displayed in the card, it would be great to use it for automations.

Keep up the good work.

Best regards,
Rutger

can you have a look at the climate entitity? i think you can just creatr a template sensor to read out the current temperature from there.

Hi, @h4de5 .

Just installed the Scandic version called, Polar 35:
RAS-25, 35J2KVSG-ND - Indoor unit
RAS-25, 35J2AVSG-ND1 - Outdoor unit
Wireless Adapter Type B - WRE-T00AJ10 (RB-N105S-G or RN-N106S-G)
You can add these to the list of supported models.

For those who wants energy information:

This model does not have energy information/sensors.

edit: i think the app your linking to is an older appversion.
This model uses the app prodused by Toshiba -“Thailand”.
