Trying to track energy usage per day of the week and keep an average

Hi,

i’m trying to track my energy consumption on a daily basis and keep an average

ideally it should keep track like this
monday X kWh
and if possible an attribute should keep the average of for example the last 50 days or all previous data
tuesday X kWh
and if possible an attribute should keep the average of for example the last 50 days or all previous data
…

i’m unsure how to create this or these sensor or if this is even feasable?
Any ideas?

For recording the daily energy use a utility meter with seven tariffs. One for each day of the week.

There are a number of ways to measure the averages but if your sensors have LTS you may nit even need to.

I’m thinking I’d do this LTS no matter what Tom. Reason you have to create 7x tariffs to do this.

But. If you aready have multiple because say peak/off peak? Now thats 14 tariffs (m-peak, m-off peak, etc.) or if you have more 21, (it gets exponential quickly) whereas of you have LTS data it’s just a call tk historical data. there’s your usage for Mon. Tue. Wed. Etc. - even if you had multiple tariffs without creating more entities and storing more data.

Not using any other tariffs now.

i want to use these sensors to help create a forecast for each day of the week so i can use it with dynamic energy prices
