I’m in the market for some smart plugs that can be flashed to tasmota - I grabbed these the other day https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B086X424Y6?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title but unfortunately it seems the firmware they came with blocks currents Tuya-Convert over OTA and the plug basically needs breaking to get to the board inside…
Does anyone know of plugs out there which are confirmed as still flashable, which are available in the UK and that don’t break the bank?
I’m not interested in cloud based, but have no problems doing the tasmota flash direct via pins on the board (as long as the plugs can be taken apart without damaging them)
I use the Sonoff S20’s in the UK. They are a bit more expensive but the x3 I bought a year ago were flashable. I always just check https://templates.blakadder.com/plug.html and go from there.
I flashed a set plugs I posted about a couple months ago, you can find some more suggestions in that thread too. The flashing was wireless, no disassembly required.
