Tuya wireless ultrasonic depth meter

Added the Tuya configuration with th IoT account I created, and I see 3 entities - my Tuya smart plug, this, and a ‘scene’ for this which is the 10% remaining alert configured in the Smartthings app.

But there’s no actual sensor reading for the tank sensor - no depth or % at all. Any ideas how to get the data into HA?

comments here suggest ‘editing’ the device to add more sensors but I don’t see that option.

Anyone got the data displayed successfully?

so much stuff seems to be nearly working but not quite - lightwave, tuya, lifx, google maps…

I am also interested in integrating this sensor into HA, it would be great if it could be local… anyone know if it’s possible to flash the firmware for local communication?

I am looking into buying the sensor and have not investigated yet.

not clear what cngtrobiuting to that gets us though - some commentary would be good.

For sure it’s the sorts of config my device has, but as there’s no activity there then it’s not clear anything is happening…

Is the same problem: Something is wrong with Tuya tank level sensors with the new official integration - #3 by Timbika

The user @randvoorhies had working on a PR to get it officially supported.

We hope a developer finally merge! :blush:

Really??? The solution seems to be working but the pull request (PR) does not get accepted, due to some formalities?

Or am I misunderstanding anything here?
