There is no info about a “custom repository” in the first post by HeyImAlex Alex. Do you have any info about what custom repository should be used?
Yeah, same here!
Ok, thanks. So I guess you need to add the new github url to HACS as a “custom repository”, right?
Correct
hi petro.
weird things happened today.
After finding this great history-explorer-card again via this request of mine, I started installing it manually via www, and adding a resource, but it wouldn’t show up when trying to add it in the dashboard, no luck. I then tried adding it via HACS / custom repositories, but got an error message. When trying to find it again on HACS, it suddenly showed up as under spanglelabs/history-explorer-card!
Yeah, I installed it and it worked fine right away.
I spend all day creating a long custum card when around 11 PM home assistant suddenly restarted and after restart told me, that the there is no integration named history-explorer-card anymore.
Looking in the filebrowser showed me it had vanished.
So I tried installing it via manual method again, no luck. And when adding the URL https://github.com/SpangleLabs/history-explorer-card/ to custom repositories I got the following error:
<Integration SpangleLabs/history-explorer-card> Repository structure for v1.0.54 is not compliant
What am I doing wrong. Happyly I saved my .yaml from today, but I would love to use it.
Help appreciated.
Kind regards,
yocup
Install it again via HACS
As said…
-
it‘s not in HACS anymore, can’t search it. Until 11 pm yesterday it used to be @ spanglelabs/history-explorer-card.
-
Won’t install from custom reps /github (error, see above)
-
Neither can I register to the .js when manually adding it to /www via /local/history-explorer-card.js
What am I missing???
You are trying to add it as an integration. It is not an integration.
Add it as a type Dashboard
Thanks so much! That worked. Noob alarm…
Still weird that it vanished from HACS normal search…
I am confused,
but very happy since I can use it!
No jokes. This addon was not in HACS search results when I posted my question. The instructions on the github page just say use HACS or manually do something with a .js file which I tried but failed.
Today I tried adding a custom repository but didn’t know what URL the poster below was referring to. Next thing red text on the repository entry dialog box says “history-explorer-card is already in the store”. Wtf
Go to store search. There it is.
Anyone here found a way of using Process to access attributes? Or is it not possible at all? I would like to randomly check the light brightness in the past, so not really want to store them as template sensors.
Sooooorry, I cant find it in the store searching for ‘History…’ or ‘spangle…’ and when I want to add it as custom repository I get the message ‘Its already in the store …’
Maybe we can get solid infos how to install this card, which looks very nice and useful.
With best regards
Gerhard
It’s on the page cited in the first message in this post
You just install it in HACS (no longer any need for a custom repository)
Here’s a link to the installation instructions
Here it is showing up in HACS
It’s not in the default repository list of HACS. I had to manually add the repository and then the card becomes available to download in the HACS UI.
Maybe the maintainers of HACS should be notified about the repository change. Or is there any specific reason it can not (yet) be included in the default repository list?
The new maintainer needs to request to add it to the default list in HACS.
@petro a PR for that was raised back in May and it’s still open! Not as if the new maintainer hasn’t tried to get it into the default HACS directory.
Those PRs are the only way to get things in HACS default. So you just have to wait then.
