Unkown tuya chip

Hi, did you manage to get your GPIO templates working for the 433/315 rf?

hi @blakadder
I removed this tuya chip, is this still considered pin compatible even with different gpio14/16 pins position compared to esp12f?

The pin positions aren’t an issue since you can simply use wires to hook it up

Is it advisable to just solder the esp12f to the pcb as is?
Then configure the pins through the templates?

Since the power and enable pins are the same that should work, except if you need to use a data connection with the TX and RX pins as you won’t be able to reassign them as far as I know. I could be wrong about that though as I haven’t tried to reassign TX and RX before

I’ll look into the tasmota template settings again if it’s actually doable
Saw this wb3s with a similar pinouts except only the top (tx1,rx1) were used

Hi guys, any matching esp with this tuya chip? Seem to be cbu module

https://developer.tuya.com/en/docs/iot/cbu-module-datasheet?id=Ka07pykl5dk4u

Since a lot of the pins aren’t even being used I’d imagine you could again get away with swapping it to an ESP12F using some wires to sort out the pin arrangement.

Thanks, that seems to be the case.
The one that almost match was this C5, just missing an extra pin on the side

Will this pin wiring be sufficient? just some extra work with the wires

The EN on the ESP12F is equivalent to CEN on the Tuya chip.

From your original photo you can see the below circled pins don’t appear to be connected to anything, so those won’t need any wires at all.

Thanks, I’ll take a better look on the pins
Any recommended thin wire size for this?

It’s only tiny currents that are involved so as small as you can find really.

Hello. Did anybody manage to replace the cbu controller? I have this in a zmai 90 and would like to switch to tasmota, so i need an esp on there.

Hello,

Anyone replace this CBU with some ESP?

Thanks

Seems like Moes change internal design but left old name for MS-101. I’ve just received two Moes MS-101 and found plates to flash it with Esphome. I’ve published notes at Перепрошивка Moes MS-101 – Telegraph (as new user I can publish only one embedded media link here).

did you managed to detach the relays?

What do you mean?

To make them dry contact relays

Oh okay, I didn’t make dry contacts. I use Sonoff mini’s for dry contact.
