HA then of course no longer reacts. Unfortunately this has happened to me several times. HA runs on Proxmox in a virtual machine. With a snapshot I can quickly get it back to its original state, but there must be a reason. Does somebody has any idea?
There are some instructions in this topic on how you can track down the issue using profiler and py-spy:
Also do you have onvif cameras?
If so try disabling them. They have been reported to cause this sort of issue recently.
Thank you for the quick response. Proxmox is running on a NUC. I don’t have any cameras installed in HA. I use mqtt and the mariadb is outsourced on an other VM.
Give profiler (easy) and py-spy (more involved) a go to see what is causing the high CPU use.
Sorry, I gonna need some time to find out, to install py spy into the docker.
