VeSync development particularly for Levoit Humdifiers

I’ve been using Levoit Classic 300S Smart Ultrasonic Top-Fill Cool Mist Humidifier with VeSync app (v 5.0.70).

I can only set the mist level in the manual mode, which can sometimes result in over humidifying a room. Should it be also possible to set the humidity level (in percentage or percentage range) in the auto mode?

Thanks!

It appears that the originator of the custom integration has abandoned it. Has anyone figured out how to integrate a Levoit 300 humidifier without his integration?

Try this fork. The owner is trying to get this moving again so probably happy to support other devices.

Thanks, but which fork do you mean?

Sorry, edited post above.

Does someone know if the OasisMist 1000S is working with tah one?

Hello, I have the same humidifier as you, however I cannot add the repo via HACS:
vlebourl/custom_vesync: Custom VeSync component for Home Assistant

it is not added… :frowning: how to do it

Hi, would it be possible to add the Levoit OasisMist 4.5L? With the same integration I can read the Purifier without issues.

Are you able to add the repo?

Use this repo.

Hi Brian, that is what I’m using, it discovered the air purifier but not the humidifier. Am I missing something that I need to do?

Thank you for all your help,

It was a suggestion because it looks like that should get some development work on it. Raise an issue and see if it gets picked up.

The problem is often the developer doesn’t have the device. If you enable debug logging, you will hopefully get some info about unknown devices.

Just to note there is an update to make it compatible with 2025.1

I actually used this repo, it worked well all day but now my humidifier has been unavailable for a while.

Have you checked the logs?

In Settings / System / Logs ?

Or as the readme says enable debug logging in the integration UI

I activated it and when I go to the logs I don’t see anything about it…

Did you enable debug logging as above?

Do that then try and set it up. When you turn debug logging off you will get offered a log file to open/download.

Raise an issue on the Github Repo as well.

Yes I activated it and by clicking on it again it downloaded a log file to me.

The log file in question :
