I’m pretty new to Home Assistant and need some guidance.
I’ve added a Vivotek dome cam to my home assistant via configuration.yaml
I can see the live stream in a card, so far so good.
I’d like to receive a notification on motion detection via Home Assistant.
According to the vivotek page on home assistant, it should enable some services like camera.enable_motion_detection.
But what do I need to do? I’ve added a ‘notification on motion blueprint’, but i’m unable to select a sensor which triggers.
The blueprint comes from 📸 Send camera snapshot notification on motion
What an I missing? For me its unclear what I should do with the enable_motion_detection.
In the camera itself, motion detection is enabled and i created an event to store a snapshot. Perhaps I need to save these to some specific location or something?
Does anyone have any good advice? Some guidance on the net or anything?
