Weather Station recomendation 2026

I am interested in buying a Weather Station to connect to my Home Assistant, since the threads about Weather Stations seem old I thought I would start a new one.
Can anybody recommend a Weather Station that integrates well with Home Assistant in 2026? I would like to monitor temps, rainfall, sunlight wind etc to help inform me of my garden conditions, and perhaps eventually automate some watering routines based on weather data.
Thanks in advance for your advice!

With or without cloud interface or paid subscription?

I have an ecowitt WS2350 that I have connected to HA using the ecowitt integration.

This is a wireless weather station that has a mast-mounted sensor suite and an indoor LCD display. It is connected to my IoT wireless network (I have a separate wireless SSID just for IoT devices). 25 entities are exposed between indoor (from the LCD display) and outdoor. I have had it for a while now, forget where I originally purchased it.

This is part of a dashboard that includes data from the station:

Ecowitt FTW…
I heard Shelly sells a zigbee version of the same unit, but have 2 of the originals.
I tried the Vevor because, cheap. Worked but you would have to build the HA interface, so I sold it.

I’m interested in this without cloud etc. Just me and the weather!

Tempest for me…

I just picked up an Ecowitt WS3901 bundle which is a WS3900 weather station display with a WS90 7-in-1 sensor array. 100% local no internet or account required (still needs a local wireless network connection to your HA for data transmission).

Some diagrams of the WS90 show an integrated solar panel, some do not. I can add a small solar panel if needed, but I definitely don’t want to climbing on a roof to change batteries or have to plug it in to power. How is this device powered? Also, have you integrated it with HA yet?

Never mind, I got the answer from the online manual. The integrated solar panel will power the device and charge the battery, except if it is obscured with ice or dust. The power connection is for the heater and it also charges the battery if needed.

Alecto WS-5500 weatherstation, free integration with wunderground channel. As a PWS owner you can get an API to integrate with Home Assistant. In HACS you will find an integration with this API.

Ecowitt GW2002 with hub. Direct integration to HA. Effortless.

Worth the money IMHO.

As a bonus you can take numbers from the weather station and display them straight into the weather-clock card for actual values.
