Well, maybe you should consider changing your plug to something better.
So this is a not recommended plug in the end? Mind to share make & model so others can avoid buying it? ![]()
Hi
strange behaviour, the oven plug started to work correctly after factory reset.
Some other are having the same problem.
I must see if a factory reset will work also with them or not…
Yeah you are right, the combined load was higher than 16A (but only briefly), you can see in the screenshot that the peak load was near 21A (which didn’t trip the ABB 0025-060 breaker, since it was a brief slightly above rating surge). Switching the power is not needed in my case, so I will be looking towards buying plugs based on a current transformer. Hopefully that will reduce the risk of the plug breaking in surge cases.
Sorry to necro this old comment of yours but do you have any experience with that plug? I read a lot of concerns about having to use the Chinese eWink app that comes with Sonoff hardware. Or is that rendered useless by flashing ESP and using that as the plug’s firmware?
Sorry if that question is stupid, trying to replace my random Amazon smart plugs with something accurate and good for Home Assistant.
Thanks in advance!
No, just other ESP(home) based plugs including some 8-yearish old sonoff plug. ![]()
I really don’t understand why would one only be concerned about #country# #brand# apps and not about all available products that run/depend on other people computers (cloud) ![]()
Exactly that. Esphome allows full control and ownership and all bits from the vendor firmware will be overwritten. ![]()
